What a weekend! We’re still riding the high from this year’s Love Run Half Marathon, and we wanted to take a moment to say something important to every single one of you who laced up your shoes, pinned on your bib, and joined The Running Place crew in the streets of Philadelphia: thank you.
Whether you were chasing a personal best, running your very first half marathon, or simply showing up to enjoy the experience with friends and fellow runners, we’re so proud of our TRP community for showing up with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of spirit.
From Start to Finish — You Made It Special
Race day started crisp and cool, and it wasn’t long before the starting line on Benjamin Franklin Parkway buzzed with excitement. Our TRP team was out in full force—rocking our custom team shirts, warming up together, and soaking in the energy that only race mornings can bring.
We were especially proud of our Running Place tent, where team members gathered before and after the race for gear check, stretching, snacks, and well-deserved celebration. It’s one thing to run a race, but it’s another to run it with a community of people cheering you on every step of the way. The shared laughs, encouragement, and “you’ve got this!” moments were just as important as the miles on the course.
First-Time Finishers, PR Chasers, and Everyone In Between
One of the things we love most about events like the Love Run is how inclusive they are. This year, we had first-time half marathoners who crossed the finish line with tears in their eyes and seasoned veterans who knocked minutes off their previous bests. We saw walkers, run-walkers, joggers, sprinters, and everything in between—and we cheered just as loud for every single one of you.
It takes courage to sign up for a race, dedication to train for it, and grit to finish it. You did all of that. Whether you hit your goals or simply kept moving forward when things got tough, you should be incredibly proud.
A Big Shoutout to Our Cheer Squad
Of course, we couldn’t go without giving a massive thank you to our cheer squad—those friends and family members who showed up with signs, cowbells, and caffeine to support our runners. Your energy and encouragement meant the world and kept everyone going, especially when the course got tough. You’re part of what makes our TRP family so strong.
Don’t Forget Recovery!
We know the post-race glow is real—but so is the need for proper recovery. A reminder that we’ll be focusing on recovery and strength training tips during our Monday Night Group Runs this month. Whether you’re bouncing back from the race or just getting back into the groove, these sessions are a great way to keep moving while giving your body the support it needs.
And if you’ve never joined us for a Monday night run before, now’s the perfect time. We meet every Monday at 6:45 p.m., and runners and walkers of all paces are welcome.
Keep the Momentum Going

The running community in our area is strong, and there are lots of great local events coming up this spring and summer (we’re happy to help you find one that fits your schedule and style).
